Welcome to My Kitchen

This is the place that I love to be. I like to be creative and cooking is what is doing it for me these days. It's kind of a necessity and it makes me feel accomplished. I like knowing what we are eating and where it comes from. I go out of my way to make sure this happens.
I like that I don't buy several household staples from a grocery store. I enjoy making applesauce, jams and jellies, apple butter, spaghetti sauce, spicy mustard, pickles and anything else I can.
I like getting dirty, getting my hands into things, feeling and experiencing my food from the beginning to the end. I like making things, growing things and bringing those two together to create a healthy meal. I like nourishing others and knowing that I did my best to give them the best.

 Wow!  It's been a long time, YEARS!  Somehow I landed back here. 

 I don't want to erase any of my past posts because I find it interesting to look back on.   I'll leave everything until I find a reason not to.  I enjoy seeing these old posts and seeing how my "voice" has changed though the years in my writing.  

It is going to take me some time to get use to this new format and everything that comes with it.   I have never used this computer to write the blog.   Last time I wrote this blog was on a desk top computer at my desk in the kitchen.  I'm now sitting in the basement office that didn't exist when I wrote the blog before.

I wish I would have put the date on it but my guess is it was somewhere near December 2024, I made a list of things to include in my blog.  Even though I didn't know if I could return to the blog or how to do it, I made that list.  I saved that list.  I'm looking at that list.  I'm smiling!
